Patricia Foley

Dr. Patricia Foley is a laboratory animal veterinarian with over 30 years in academia and biomedical research. Specific areas of interest include anesthesia, pain management, surgical models, and One Health. As Director of the Division of Comparative Medicine from Oct 2013- July 2021, responsibilities at Georgetown included oversight of the animal care and use program, providing research support services, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. Now as a part-time adjunct faculty in the department of Microbiology and Immunology, Dr. Foley directs the Animal Models Shared Resources Core.
